5 Healthy Treats To Curb Your Sweet Tooth

One of the hardest things about dieting is wanting something sweet, but there are a couple treats you can have that won’t leave you feeling guilty and are easy to fit into your diet. Here are my TOP 5 favorite treats to help stop those sweet tooth cravings.

1. Halo Top Ice Cream

I have been so impressed with Halo Top’s low calorie ice cream. The texture is amazing and it tastes amazing. I have tried Vanilla bean, Red Velvet, Oatmeal Cookie, Chocolate, Peanut Butter Cup, Birthday Cake, and Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough. I can honestly say that there hasn’t been a single one that I haven’t enjoyed. The best part, you can eat the WHOLE PINT..yes, there are about 280-360 calories in the whole entire pint. No need to put it in a bowl because you won’t want to stop until you’ve eaten every bit.

2. Sweet Potatoes

If you don’t have alot calories and are wanting to stick to clean eating, sweet potatoes are a great option. They are sweet to the taste, but are very healthy and can be eaten on most diets. They also don’t spike your blood sugar so they will leave you feeling full longer. They taste great mashed, cooked, or made intro fries..but they especially great with cinnamon on top.

3. Greek Yogurt

Another great option is greek yogurt and if you can add some granola or fruit to it. This is great for any time of the day and is a wonderful snack between meals. I love mixing blueberries and strawberries into my yogurt. I often eat it when I get late night cravings.

4. 5 Ingredient “Peanut” Butter Cookies

I made these in a Youtube video (Link at bottom of page) because they are phenomenal! They take only five ingredients so they are fast and easy to make. They are also Paleo friendly, but the taste is even better. If you want to see the recipe check out my video below!

5. Quest Bars

They aren’t super sweet, but I think they taste pretty good and they will help you feel full. This can help with satisfying your sweet tooth because of the high protein. It will leave you feeling full and not wanting anything else. My trick is to heat my quest bar in the microwave for about 10-15 seconds. This changes the consistency and makes me feel like I’m actually eating cookie dough or a small brownie.
